I would just get a very good alarm, and replace the drivers door handle with a drivers rear door handle. If you're good with a dremel, you could cut out the keypad holes and still have the keypad

No keyhole makes it harder to get in. BTW, in case of a dead battery, you can open the hood from the front.

i didnt use my key on my 94 for 3 years. the lock cylinder started to just spin so rather than even look to see if i could fix it, i went straight to my stereo shop and bought a remote start alarm. after i get the alarm for the new truck, ill be getting rid of the keyholes on the 08 too.
