It's new to me!
Well, I got what I needed out of insurance without to much of a problem. The 71 is going to the scrap yard in Axtell KS pretty soon. I got a few things to strip out of it then it goes to scrap. My new baby is a 1977 F150 4x4 I bought tonight. I dont exactly like the 351M it has in it but oh well.
I picked the truck up from an old farmer that bought it in 1979 and used it around the farm since then. Grand total $400. I need to do some tinkering to get it to idle and that is all.

He'd have to change the bellhousing since the 351W won't mate directly to the 351M bellhousing, but that's not too hard. Or he could just snag a 460 and it'd almost drop right in .

Well, the 351M is kinda tired, not running the best oil pressure. From what I read thats pretty typical of these when they get old. A kid I work with has a 400 I am buying from him this fall if it doesnt go anywhere. His motor only has 30k miles. I just need to swap oil pans since it came out of a 77 2wd. I will throw some pics up tomorrow night of the new beast.

As you can see, she has some rust, but a lot less than my 71 had. Here is the link.
