Rust

Hey guys, would like to hear any comments on body rust. My 2002 F250SD is already starting to rust. Only 76000 miles on it. I do live in Minnesota, where salt is king in the winters, but spray it down once a week to clean it off during winter.

Just keep it clean and treat any rocks chips with primer and paint when you get them.

I was under my 2001 a few weeks ago, and the underside of the bed is getting flaky at the seams. Bad stuff, that salt.

My 2000 is a salt buggy. It is in need of inner and outer rockers cab corners and doors. This is all getting taken care of it the coming months. But I agree they really did use some sh***y metal.

Problem is that unless you crawl around on the bottoms side of the truck and spray all the nooks and crannies there are a ton of places for the salt to collect on the inner portions of panels. You might want to try a product like SES Salt Away. Mix it up, put it in a garden sprayer and spray your truck down top and bottom a couple times while you rinse it off with the garden hose.

Just go to your local car wash and wash like there's no tomorrow. When your done, fire that bay up and wash it some more. I hate to see your super duties rusting so, out of the goodness of our hearts, us car wash guys supply you a place to take care of your pride and joy
