Gauge Pod - paint required?

I need a better place to put my gauges. Starting to look into A-pillar gauge pods.

Do they all require paint to match interior?

yeah, they require painting. you can buy some sets that come pre painted to save the hassle.

Under the dash. Not the best place, I know.

I have gauges in both the pillar and under the cubbie. Like them both. Pics in my gallery.

The autometer a pillar pod is black and looks OK if you have a black dash, otherwise paint it. I just moved my gauges from the floor (cubbie) to the windshield so they are less of a distraction to view. (claimed it was a necessary safety item). Ford paint is $20

Thanks guys.
It still amazes me that we have to paint these things.
