Hi. I came to this forum hopefully to get the answers I need about towing.

I have a 2004 F-250 PSD Lariat CC 4X4 and also a 2007 Hitchhiker DA329RSB. After reviewing several forums and towing articles, I believe that my truck is not up to pulling the 5th wheel. My GVWR is 8800 lbs. I weighed it and the front axle is 4500 lbs, the rear is 3120 for a total gross of 7620.
I think that leaves me with an allowable pin weight of about 1180. My trailer estimated pin weight is 2160 lbs (GVWR for trailer is 13,500).
Also, I saw a ford towing page that said the maximum 5th wheel weight for an F250 CC 4X4 is 10,400.
Would you agree?

Thanks

Larry
