1991 f150 turn signal assembly switch removal
need help getting the turn signal assembly switch out of my truck. one of the plastic ears broke off the cam the holds the turn signal in place until you complet your turn. (i.e. -if i want to indicate a right turn, i have to hold the lever in place, it wont stay by itself) i tried to remove the assembly but a wire or something is holding it in the steering colume. the manual says there is a plug that needs to be dissconnect but i cant find it. Also, any suggestions on finding a replacement would be nice. the dealer wants $106.00 for this piece. i couldnt believe it! thanks in advance for any help.

Well, I guess I better respond.
There is probably a broken cam on the signal switch.
The connector refers to the connector with 5 -6 wires .
If the one in the column presently is basically Junk.
You can just cut the wires before the connector on the steering wheel end NOT the harness end>
You will have to get an connector wire removal tool or a tiny jewellers screwdriver to remove the wires from the connector.
If you need an illustration of this procedure ask me and i'll post it here.
And yes ,those switches are expensive.
