Question on Grab Handels on 1996 F-250

Has anyone ever installed grab handels or assist handles to the door post to help getting in and out of their truck. Seems like a good idea but haven't heard of it being done.

I don't know if they would be strong enough to aid in climbing into truck, but many people get a handle from an explorer out of a wrecking yard and install above door opening as an "OH *****" handle.

They look pretty good too as long as the color matches.

They best way to attach it , I would think, would be with a rivnut and a machine screw. This would probably support more weight than just using a sheet metal screw.

I would like to do this someday, as I work my list of thing to do down to a minimum.
