I see online the aftermarket sets of 4 replica 20" f150 harley wheels with center caps sell for between $1100-$1400 a set, and the lowest Ive seen a new oem rim for is $!325 for 1 wheel, not including center cap. That would make a set of 4 oem wheels cost $5300 or so plus over $125 for the caps plus tax or shipping. List on the part number YL37-1007-DA rim is $1840 each.

How is the quality and durability of the chrome on the aftermarket replicas?
Would anyone actually ever pay even trade price for a new set from ford?

 

My 02 Harley has 2 replicas on it. They are the dual bolt pattern ones (5X135mm and 5X5.5"). My standard lug wrench won't fit on the lugs, I have to use a thin walled socket. The chrome seems OK, but the backside are not chromed like stock. If I could find stockers reasonable, I would switch.

My question really arose from me responding to a craigslist ad in the chicagoland area. A seller was advertising 4 nos original ford 20x9 harley wheels with center caps new in the box for $500. Well I did contact the seller, and it turned out he had an nos set in the original ford boxes including caps. The rims are January 01 dated and the center caps are Dec 2000 dated. Where he got them I really do not know, but I bought them immediately to use this next spring after I buy tires. I went to price what I had bought and was shocked to realize I could not duplicate the purchase wholesale from ford for anything under atleast $5500 or even possibly more. I even went on the ford motorsports website , which used to sell these wheels, but anything with the older bodystyle has been discontinued, and they only go as far back as 05 if memory serves me right.

 

You got a bargin there. I would gladly pay that for a set. Heck, I would pay that and give you my wheels and tires.
