I gave some serious thought to the Ram air thing. I may have given Gene a bad rap cutting his grill and all untill I realized that anything in front of the intake is an obstruction. Duh.
Rather than cut mine I simply removed it. 4 screws and 4 clips. No biggy, two minutes. Now I am truly rocking the house. Note how I used color keyed duct tape for a pretty good match if I say so myself.
Aside from the obvious benefits and awesome color matched tape (I like to call them stabilizing supports), I am ready to cruise in style looking for unwary victims. Of course they will see me coming with this killer mod and shy away, they don't want any of this. It oozes performance. I may have to camouflage it IOT get any takers.
Let me know what you guys think of Whosyerdad mod. FTE supporters only can PM me with any technical questions, general questions will be fine in the forum. I don't want to hog this up all to myself, however, I will share details with FTE supporters only. Sorry, I gotta draw the line somewhere on something this hot.

The hijacking was my fault and I apologize, Adam.
Yes, it's ok to cut that piece of fiberglass away. A Dremel tool works the best to get it. Some guys do put a screen over it and some do not. I have a grill insert so I do not run a screen over it.
I'll be honest, I noticed no difference in performance, EGT temps, boost or anything when I did mine. Just sayin....
