Need some help guys

Hey hows everybody doing. I need some help on my distributor for my 460. I pulled it out and am now putting it back in. But i need advice on how to go about installing it in the right postion for timing. I know the firing order an the numbers for the right an left block. But need to know how to get this thing installed in the proper position so I can get the motor started an timed right. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks fellas for any help you can give me its much appreciated.

Bring the #1 Cylinder to the top on the compression stroke. Top will be or should be when the timing mark on the crank is on TDC. Set the dist, rotor on the #1 plug wire position & set it in. Then check to make sure you hit #1 by rotating the engine around if it lines up on #1 you should be set.

Thanks for the info. Can somebody tell me the firing order on the 460 an what numbers are the right an left cylinder bank. I need to hook my plug wires up to the right plugs. Thanks again for any info. Its much appreciated.

15426378 is the firing order, looking at the motor, on the passengers side it goes 1,2,3,4 front to back and on the drivers side it goes 5,6,7,8 front to back.
