manual transmision problems

Hi i have a 2000, 4 x 4 , super duty 250, and my transmision i going bad, i think is the regulators. I dont have manoy to fix it now but i was told that there's some additive that i can use to make it smooth. I can still drive it because i know it very well and i know when to shift.
I went to a couple autoparts stores but they dont have anithing.
Somebody knows what additive should i use?
Thanks

Welcome to FTE. The whole additve question is a can of worms, so to speek. Iv'e had real good luck using prolong lubricants (so far). I had a bearing set making the marble in a can sound inside a trasfer case, and by changing the fluid and adding the trans additive, the sound has been gone(all gone) for 50-60k. I don't know about your trans though. Someone here does though. Best wishes

I've never used them in an SD trans but in my smaller cars I use BG fluid(synchroshift in my SE-R's manual) and it makes a world of difference. I'm sure they've got something that would be similar for your truck's transmission.
