Roger,
I'm not going to touch that. It just proves the poor people who got sucked into less good looking truck just can't get over their jealousy of not being to own the better designed truck.
Be honest, how can you compare this:
with this:
Havi,
I shipped a hood from WI to NY via Greyhound a couple of years ago for around $40. I would assume it might have gone up a bit since then, just like everything else. The biggest hassle is packaging it and taking it down to the Greyhound station. Hopefully, the stations aren't too far from either the sender or receiver. If either has to drive 50 miles I don't think it's worth it.

The mirrors alone are worth working on the '52...plus the fact that it's a panel truck, I think. I'm really beginning to like the panels. Kinda grow on you.

I do like the look of the smaller back window. Some say it's harder to see, but I use my mirrors, pretty much exclusively, so I probably wouldn't notice. My ideal would be a '51/2 with the small window...

It will take a lot more than just swapping the front clip and dash to save this beast. The panel is a real bucket, it's currently on uPay with a starting price of $500. The main problems with panels are they rust off of the frame and there's nothing to left to repair. This doesn't have much left of the body or the rear doors, one of the hardest parts, second only to original seats, to find.

Not even looking ahead, have to finish this one, first - got the whole front done, as soon as I get my drums back tomorrow, the front end should hit the floor.
Just to hijack, do you think it would be easier doing the clutch/brake pedals and master before dropping the flattie in, or is it easy enough afterwards? I'd like to get the motor in, as it's taking up space, and I'd like to get it running - it's been a while.
