Sounds like some of the freshmen will be getting some playing time this year. That Will Compton, and Sean Fisher. They'll need all the help they can get on defense!

If our offense can put up some points like we did last year I think we can play with anyone in the conference. Last year, our defense just couldn't get it done.

Hopefully, Bo can inspire the defense. I'm just not sure about the talent level on that side of the ball. They've got some impressive freshmen who may just play this year coming in though.

Well, the offense looked like I thought they would-they did just fine. Ganz made a few mistakes, but it's the first game. I will say, the defense looked alot better than last year, but they still need some work. Cody Glen should open his locker on Monday, and find a Black shirt hanging there, he had a great game for a first time linebacker!

So it looked like the secondary has some things to work on......but dang!!! Cody Glen was EVERYWHERE tonight!!!! Offense looked alright, but no doubt, there will be some changes made.

We had a bit of a deal with Dish Network. My folks just got a new TV and surround sound system so they ordered the game and had the whole family over only to find out that Dish sold them the game but they couldn't get it because our recievers are too old.......luckily we ran over to my uncle's house and they were able to order it on their DirecTV......there were no happy campers in the Seim household for a bit tonight.....

well i thought for Nebraska's first game with a new coaching staff, playbook, some new starters, and after last season.. they did ok. i was impressed with Ganz.. i like that QB.. but in the 2nd half he did make a few mistakes. The offensive line was great, they were giving Joe tons of time in the pocket to throw the ball. Swift was looking good last night as well. Lucky looked like a better receiver than a RB but did well at both. Quintin didn't do as good as I thought he would. The DEF did ok. NOT where they need to be to beat some of the teams on our schedule though. Cody Glenn was amazing at linebacker. I loved how he was all over the field. He set the bar high for the rest of the DEF and I hope they all follow in his steps. I wouldn't give out blackshirts at all though after this game. The pass coverage was horrible if you ask me. Lots of confusion on who was to go where. (and again, Glenn was everywhere and he saved us a few times) I agree that Cody deserves a blackshirt.. but they are working as a team.. one guy can't have one.. they all get one at the same time. motivation! but i was pleased...

good to see old Rich Rodrigez get beat the first game as MIchigan head coach! hahaha!

did anyone catch that Virginia Tech LOST to ECU on a special teams flop... VT blocked the kick, the kicker picked up the blocked kick and ran it in for 27 yards for a TD to win!

I would hav liked to see VT win until they got to lincoln. But, we'll just have to see how the Huskers do in the next few weeks. Remember, the Husker Killed Nevada in their first game last year. But, I think they'll do much better over the next two weeks.

You might be right about the black shirts Dallas. But I still think Cody earned his!!

I was at the game. You have to watch Ganz live to see how amazing he is. He throws even better when he is on the move then when he is stationary. Cody Glenn Was EVERYWHERE he was psyching up the crowd it was great. The secondary was a little soft but they have three more practice games before big 12 play so we should be ok. All I have to say is Cody Frickin Glenn Rocks.

I agree, I think Cody has found the spot where he should have been all along! And, if it wasn't for that idiot Callahan promising the spot to Keller last year, Joe would have a year under his belt already.
