Options to keep her cool?

Hey guys, I was pulling up a nice grade last night, pulling my boat, and went to pass a few cars. First off, I pulled the low oil code, but I also heated up pretty good. 1300* when I noticed and backed off. I wasn't pushing real hard either. I know I can set my tune lower, but I got all these toys so I COULD pull. Intercoolers are pricey, Water injection???? Other ideas?

I don't know what a water injection kit would run, but I'd be willing to bet you could piece together an IC for much less. The IC components can be had for a few hundred bucks, I have $450 into mine, $300 of which is a Banks spider, $150 for the IC, pipes, boots, clamps. Now that the early 99 spider is available again, that would save $150-200 over what I paid for my parts.

Put in either a 6.0 or 7.3 IC or a water/air IC, here: Water to Air Intercooler

Water injection will help "keep" the temps down but will not "bring" them down. In other words, you have to start injecting the water "before" your temps go up and you have to keep refilling your water tank, and if you live in real cold areas you have to worry about the water freezing
