Windows will not go up

Well, put my driver side window down today and it will not go back up. No signs of the motor going bad (not slow, or laggy going up or down) just seems like it got stuck. Wiring seem to be good. No chaffed wires or exposed wired, I think its the switch its self. Is this possible? I tried pulling it back up after i took off plastic cover but its just stuck and will not budge. Any ideas? Thanks every one

If you suspect the switch, have you tried either shorting the up and power wire together, or trying the switch from the other side to see if that fixes the problem?

Its the driver side window - so no alternate switch. But yes, i pulled apart the entire up/down switch unit and the "up" position on the driver side window doesnt feel right at all. Im pretty sure this is the problem. Thanks for the quick reply

I haven't played with this (only 259k on the truck so it hasn't broke yet), but bear with my thought process here. You've got 4 rocker switches on the drivers door, and the drivers window won't go up. Can you re-wire the switches so that the passenger up/down button controls the drivers window and vice versa? If it's not wired that way, can you pull the passenger side switch (just leave it loose) and hook it up to the driver side window wires to see if that fixes the problem?

I'm also picturing a 3 wire type switch, so you should be able to just short the power wire (power wire will probably feed more than just one switch) to the window up side of the switch wire and make the window go up that way. Just don't cross the wires for too long in the up position. You don't want to strip out the gear.
