Yes, mine is an early-99. I think that if I was going to buy an Icon kit, I'd get it from one of the FTE sponsors who participate in the forums. I thought that maybe an eBay vendor would have a discounted price, but the price in that listing is the same price as is on the Icon site. Curious that the early-99 p/n (3-2099) is not listed on the Icon site.
I did ask my local 4x4 shop about a mini-spring pack; they didn't know what it was, they didn't carry Icon, and they wanted to sell me either Pro-Comp add-a-leaves or a complete set of Pro-Comp lift springs.

My last truck I put in the Procomp kit with the complete front springs. My truck was an early 99 as well.
Not all manufacturers do the kits for the early 99's although the only difference is the trackbar and the ubolts.
I bought the Procomp kit mainly because there tech department took the time to explain things and told me what I would need. I got the square topped ubolts along with the kit. I bought the bigger trackbar and mount from a wrecker. Then I drilled out the hole on the axle to 21mm. The early 99's have a 17mm hole. They told me it would be okay without doing the trackbar, but it would leave the front end about a 1/2" off center.

I met up with Val, Al and the young Dustin this morning on their way home from Manning Park. It was nice to finally put some faces to names.
Nice to finally meet you. Keep me posted on Al's Bronco project, it sounds quite interesting.

Hey Chris....nice to finally meet you too. Yeah the wrecker was open. Checked out the bronco, actually there are 2 of them there. One is in really bad shape, nothing useful there. The other one (with the new parts) has a lot of stuff that I can use. Especially the tailgate...perfect match. The owner wasn't there, some other guy. But he gave us the info on how to contact the owner so we will call and see what he wants for the whole thing. Al found some tires he really wants, so he will probably get them as they are a screaming deal.

Well back to work I go. Got the odd injectors in and will do the evens next week. It runs but still has a miss. Oil change in the future as well. 14 litres. Going to go broke just changing the oil. Leveling kit is done except for the new rear shocks.
Have a great weekend BC.

Well weather has turned kind of crappy the last few days. Got the rest of the injectors in today. Runs great. Hopefully it stays that way. Did have a little scare on my test drive though. Just onto the road and I hear a pop and then it gets kind of loud. Blew off one of the pipes to the intercooler. Tightend up the clamp and was good to go.
