d66 Diagnostic help

I just finished a d66 and 17 degre hpop from terminator install.

Im only boosting 15lbs max, wound out at 3k rpm.

I have lots of fuel, and the dp tuner is working properly. Jody hasnt re tuned it for the new pump or turbo.

Setup is DIY stage ones, 3.5" dp to straight, DP tuner, 6637 intake, d66 turbo, 99 intercooler.

Boots seem tight, Im at a loss as to what might be going on.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

so if read correctly, you were making more boost before the turbo and pump install?

if so, seems to me you might have a boost leak? up-pipes, donuts?
whats your hpop pressure? can you pull codes?
15psi, to me, at 3k rpm is like stockish numbers at wot...
did you get the IPR and associated wires, brass nut, etc installed correctly?wierd problem, would like to know the fix myself...

check all your hoses, and up pipe gaskets. I have the D66 with Stage 2's and TW tunes and I can hit 35-40.

Thanks for the feedback guys.

So far the boots are good. I am going to check the up pipes, and scan for codes next.

X2... Sounds like the map is not not hooked up making it go into the default setting.

If you have a boost leak your egt's would be crazy high in those high settings with all that fuel.

I'll check the map.

The egts are retarted. I cant get half way through a gear at more then half throttle without hitting 1200 on the higher settings. Im even getting smoke on my 8k tow, but temps are manageable at least.

There is definitely something wrong. The map could be in wrong place, but its going to give you those high of egts. I'd start looking for boost leaks. Are you running an intercooler?

Im am running an IC. 99 with all banks pipes. So far I've been through all the IC pipes, and spider connections. Those have check out good.

I took a surface look and shake on the up pipes, and those seem good as well.

Map is all hooked up.

I pulled codes, and truckload.

1 cam position sensor (bank 1) code.

2 ICP codes

2 EBPV codes.

Im going to do some errands with the truck tomorrow with the stock programing and pull codes again.

I'll post back with exact codes and descriptions after I elimate the tuner tomorrow.

It does seem like I can hear a wheez. I suspected it was a connection, so of course I checked there first. Maybe instead my epbv is sticking or something along those lines? That would choke it out wouldnt it?

Thanks agian for the help guys. I leave for a 700 mile trip in two days, pulling 16,000lb. This is killing me....lol

Now we're talking. That would definatly send the egt's through the roof, and make poor power and boost.

Maybe clean the EBP sensor line off the passenger head to the sensor.

The line comes off the front (twards the radiator) of the passenger side exhaust manifold and runs up to the top of the HPOP res. It should be hanging on the back side of the res. Or I think the 97's mount on the HPOP gear bolt access plate behind the water pump pulley. It's a hard line that sometimes gets plugged with soot.

Nice call. It was plugged pretty much solid. Should be up and running tomorrow just in time for the big trip.

Thanks again. That was a huge help.
