Oh, yeah, almost forgot. I'll be off til this afternoon, gotta maintain my favorite Son-in-law status, and go mow out at the farm. Dallas, your in charge today!!
My boss is on vacation so I have to hold down the fort at the office until 5:00pm... Guess I'll be around FTE also. Since the boss is gone, I suppose I don't have to do any real work anyway!
I keep trying to get out of this whole "work thing", but the Powerball people are real good at verifying the numbers on my ticket... some stupid rule about having ALL the numbers match or something.
I think it's just a plot to keep me from enjoying a life of ease!
Hey Nebraska. Welcome to August. Boy is it supposed to get hot down there in the next few days. I'm glad I'm just going to experience upper 80s here. Anyway, I'm just trying to finish up an entrance door installation in the basement of my house. I've been putting it off for quite some time. My house is a 2 level split built in 73 and it originally never had a walkout basement. It was added later, but when the PO cut the opening they only made it for a 30" door. I wasn't sure exactly what I was going to find when I tore the old one out, but I finally decided to do it. It wasn't too bad, but the opening was pretty tight for the door. I was going to see if I could widen the opening a bit to fit a 32" door, because the 30" ones in stock are just plain and no windows. Cheap doors. You have to get to 32" to get nicer doors. Anyway, it would have been a PITA to do and I don't even know If I could have. So, I just took the easy way out for now. We'll see how it holds up this winter. Now I just have to caulk the crap out of the seams and go from there.
Hey Buck... sounds like a fun project! Can you special order a 30" door, or are they pretty pricey? Fortunately when we did some remodeling on the last house, we got away with in-stock stuff.
I'm not looking forward to the continued heat through this weekend. I hate this time of year more than the coldest part of winter...
