That HPOP seems like a lot, but then again, I guess it would be for the job it does, huh?
Wow, thanks for that information. Is there a way to check to see if it is the pickup tube or oil pump, w/o removing them? Just wondering, I would hate to have to remove the motor for the 3rd time, to replace the pick up tube. Thanks.
Yep 3000 psi, that's the high end though. It takes about 3-400 psi just to get it fired-up....around 22-2500 @ WOT is normal.

Do what Rick said...add extra oil and lift the rear of the truck. This completely covers the oil pick-up tube. If you troubles go away like this then you have a cracked tube.

With bigger injectors (upgraded, more fueling) you need more high pressure oil to drive them. thats where "big oil" comes in. There are a number of ways/companies to take care of your big oil needs. So far one has a replacement pump (another is on the way) and the others add a second pump.

Hey, thanks for all the help. I did add the oil, and had the rear of the truck raised, and I was able to crank it, and it ran, idled, and I drove it to where I am about to take the motor out and replace that pickup tube.

Hi again. I could not get a new pickup tube, so I took the old one and got it braised, the factory welds. Put new gasket on the bottom of the pickup tube, and I have finally got oil pressure. Still won't start. Took the IPR o ring out, it was cracked ( Was a black o ring ). Will that cause it not to start? One side has real good oil pressure, and the other does not. I do not have a gauge, but if you put your finger over it, it'll blow it off of there ( on one side ). If you need a picture, let me know of what. I will take it and post. Thanks for anymore help you guys have been, and hopefully, will be.
