How do you work on hubs with the brakes and tires still on the vehicle?

I got it back together but noticed that wheel is locked in (automatic hubs) but the other wheel is not. Will it unlock when I move the truck or will it break something?

They will be OK,...or, you can unlock it by rotating the tire in reverse.

Thanks duck but the reps should go to who ever I copied that from...may be it was the repair manual...who knows...CRS is setting in

You can service everything dealing with the lockout with the tires on. I do it all the time on my mud racer. But if you are dealing with spindle bearings, or the inner axle bearing (inside the spindle) the brakes and tires have to come off. But I'm with you, who would do that..LOL

Yea, If I'm making an adjustment to the hubs or something, I do not take the tire off or even jack it up.
But if I'm going to work on it I take all of it off.
