Adding AfterMarket Tach to 2V 4.6L

As the title says has anyone done this? I'd like to add a tach to my '92 4.6L. Admittedly I haven't searched for tach's yet but thought I'd see if anyone has done this and has any info. Since the ignition doesn't use a distributor I assume it is a bit more tricky. This would be for a modular with the pair of coil packs not the COP's.

What's the application for the PCM? Many of the Ford PCM's have a CTO(Clean Tach Output),and you can connect a tach to that output.

YEah I found that out. It is going on a Grand Marquis and I found a diagram of which one to wire to.
