Arrow drive shaft play

I got a drive shaft for my 1988 f 150 truck. Getting ready to have it cut down. A tight measurement from u joint to u joint is 58 5/8. So how much play should I have for the split yolk? Should it be 1 1/2?

My suggestion is to take it to whoever is going to cut it down for you and have them measure it. That is what I did when I had to have a driveline made for my Dodge.
