Rock Auto... rocks!

I have been ordering parts from Rock Auto the past few months and the prices and speed of shipping is amazing. Just today I ordered something an hour and half ago and I already have an email saying it shipped and the tracking number. They also had the cheapest prices of all the places I normally shop.
Next time you needs some parts give them a look.

That's good to hear. I've been thinking about giving Ashley some of my money. He's been very helpful in answering questions on here. I feel better knowing others have positive things to say.

I used Rock Auto a couple of weeks ago to order a box of 10 spark plugs for my boat. They had the best internet pricing I could find and the items arrived very quickly - I was very impressed.

As an aside I took the boat out today and one of the engines ran rough and couldn't get above 8,500 rpm so I'm going to use those spark plugs already and will have to place another order with Rock Auto shortly.

I was going to order some parts for my Intrepid a few weeks ago. Items needed for a tranny service and doing new rod bearings. Turned out the shipping cost almost as much as the parts so I bought most parts locally. I ended up getting brakes there and they arrived a day to late for me to get them installed when home for the weekend. I used to be very happy with them, but lately their shipping seems slower and more expensive. Probably didn't help that an order of 9 parts was shipping out of 6 locations

My boat has marinized 4-stroke Yamaha R-1 motors (original design from the Yamaha R1 motorcycle line from what I read.) For water applications they've been detuned to a redline of 10,200 RPM.

Yea, I was going to order a mid pipe for my wife's mustang and the price was good till i saw the shipping! Mid Pipe was $37. and shipping was $39. the pipe doesn't even wieght that much. So I'm taking it to the muffler shop this weekend. Even there 5% discount wouldn't save me enough to order it. Big company like them should be able to save on shipping and pass it along to thier customers, rather than rip then a new one!

OK makes sense to me now. Not much into boats, but for some reason I ASSUMED he had a V-10 in his boat, thus the 10 plugs he bought. My bad.

Oh please, the length of the pipe would make it an oversize shipment ...

Like anything, shop around. The place is not trying to rip you off, it's just a fact of life.

And how is that their fault? Again, fact of life.
