F-600 Restore

I am starting a restore project on two F-600 trucks. One is a 1964 and the second is a 1965. My hope is to disassemble both trucks and make 1 good one out of the two of them.

I looking for resources to find information on these trucks. Does any body have any sugestions.

sounds like a fun project, just remember, 64 had a different motor the 65, atleast in the smaller trucks [f-100s]

and donate a cab, frame axles front clip and motor to me once you are done with the parts truck lol

I think the 65 has Inline 6 cylinder 300CI. I am not sure about the 64 but is is a smaller inline 6 cylinder maybe 240CI?

F600 with a 6 for 64 typically will be a 262 cubic inch big brother to the 223.

Welcome to FTE

The engine code is the 4th digit of the VIN.

As original

1964: B = 262 1V / J = 223 1V / Intake/exhaust manifolds on the drivers side.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
1965: B = 300 1V / J = 240 1V / Intake/exhaust manifolds on the passenger side.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Are they a 1964 & a 1965?

The last 6 digits of the VIN is the serial number.

1964 serial number range: 445,001 thru 580,000

1965 serial number range: 580,001 thru 732,000

The F600's VIN begins with F60.

f-600 restore

I have two F-600 trucks one is a 65 and the other is a 64. I have taken both of them down to the frame and plan on making one vehicle out of parts from both.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comfficeffice" /><o></o>

I want to start showing some pictures so I can show what I have and ask some questions about where to head.<o></o>

What’s the best way to show pictures everybody can view?

Click on your username, use public profile, look on that page for album to load your photos in.

Anyone at any time can then click your user and see your photos.

I prefer Photobucket. Just upload your photos to PB, then insert the link inot your posts here (or wherever). You get large, crisp photo's imbedded in your post. Cheers!

Photobucket is really easy and free. Then all you have to do is post a link.

Put the IMG code in your post to make the pic magically appear.

If it were me I'd go with Chassis Black from the Eastwood Company.
