quick help please : 1990 F250 5.8 belt routing

Should be the same as my bronco with the belt runing the parameter but the spine of it looping around water pump to the ribs around the crankshaft. Simply put, ribs to to the pulley grooves, around the parameter, flat side to the flat pulleys so that those pulleys are to the outside of the belt. The Water pump is outside the run from the crank to the power steering pump. The tensioner is outside the run from the altenator to the a/c compressor, or A/C delete pulley.

While you have the belt off, check the tensioner pulley for any signs of noise or looseness. Mine was tight but when I spun it, it felt like there wasn't any grease left in it. A new one was only about 20 bucks at Ford, and the noise I always thought came from the alternator was instantly gone. Just remember, the bolt holding it on is LEFT handed thread.
