Video on the 6.0 vs. 7.3

This is a great 6 part series on the component differences between the 6.0 and 7.3. The guy gets a little "long winded" at times but I learned a bunch being a newbie to diesels and the 6.0 well worth the time to watch. These were a by-product of the posting from bismic's post on engine failure.

i don't! he did state that if you do proper maintenance that it will run for a long time. it's when people neglect the needs of their truck that it takes a crap!

As has been said countless times, the biggest factor in getting better mileage is how you drive it. The cheapest mod I've heard of is to cut a block off a 2X4 and put it under the skinny pedal.....

The guy in the video said with a few modifications this truck will get 20mpg. I don't think he was talking about a 2x4 under the accellerator.

I drive very conservatively and the best that I have ever seen is 17mpg (hand calculated) driving unloaded at 60mph for 350 miles straight, no a/c, no wind. Typically it is in the 15 mpg range unloaded.

What's strange is I can see them listed on that little window on the right. But when I try to play them I get the video is no longer available. Very strange.
