Question First time Ford owner...

This is the first Ford I've owned and even after SWIFT hit it at 40 mph while I was stopped, I'm still very pleased with my rig. I have a 99 F250 2wd automatic (would perfer stick) and would like to know if it would be possable to add 4wd in the future.... Im not a big fan of the **** on the dash, and perfer the floor shifter with the hubs you need to get out to lock in. Sorry old fashoned.

Welcome to FTE. Anything is possible if you have enough money and the time to do it, but converting 2wd to 4wd is uneconomical. It would be cheaper to simply buy a 4wd truck.

Welcome to the world of FTE. We're glad you joined us. As for the desire for a 4X4, I second the opinion, that it is more practical to obtain a different truck with the drive train already in it. Maybe a truck that needs a motor that you can put the effort and money into, that way you end up with two Fords.

Congrats on your purchase and choosing this site! You won't regret either. I remember when I bought my first Ford, 64 Fairlane 500 followed by a ole 66 F250 Super Camper, what a beast. Wish I still had both.

As for converting to a 4x4 I have to agree with shorebird and F350-6 it's best to just buy a 4x4.
