more turbo whistle

97 psd, super chip, exaust down pipe no muffler or cat, Is there a way to make that stock turbo sing so bad it almost hurts. All that I have seen so far is the 1.0 or .84 housing. Will these make a little more noise, if so which one?

They both will make a bit more whistle, but will raise EGT's. the 1.0 is a good compromise, but you should look into an intake as well, or even first. search "diy intake" or "6637" to find that.
You might also want to post in the 99-03 section...
Edit: I'm not sure, but i think i remember your truck already having a 1.0 w/g housing...
either way, look into the intake.

When i switched back to the stock 1.15 housing from the 1.0 I didn't notice any different in turbo pitch. Intake and exhaust are about the best options. More fuel helps the turbo make more noise too!

Ya, but you're running big injectors arent you? as well as tuning?
for a near stock truck, wouldnt it make a difference?

Yes it will make a difference but the OP is just looking for sound from the turbo. A different housing in my experience won't produce that.
