catastrophic failer of vacuum pump

well i replaced my vacuum pump about a week ago then the other day driving my truck i start getting this squealing and griding noise followed by a loud clunk noise. i pulled over and found my vacuum pump in about 3 pieces, it appears one of the bearing failed and basically snapped the casting. got it exchanged for free and the new one is back in so far so good. must have been assembled on a Friday just before shift change.

Ya, or you got the mechanic that smokes crack for a hobby. that's pretty bad.
At lease they replaced it.
