WAFTE Fall G2G Dyno day

I mentioned the idea in another thread about having a dyno day while everyone's going to be in Sequim for the Fall G2G/Lamb Roast.

I have heard interest from both Ryan and Tim about it, so instead of just paying $65 for 2 pulls for each truck, we might be able to get a group discount if we can gather enough people to warrant going that route.

If you are interested in something like that PM me so I can get a general idea of how many we will have so I can run up the road to Dyno Sources and ask about it, since I'm sure they will ask how many people will be there and how many rigs will be running and whatnot.

If it can be done for fairly cheap, I'm in. It'd be nice to know how much power this thing is actually putting down. I probably have to have the exhaust come out to the sides of the body, rather than dumping between the framerails, though, huh?

I had a few questions in the other topic, but here they are again. Do they do diesels too. Some won't and what type of dyno do they have? Yes, I'm in for the dyno for sure.

Hey guys - in response to your posts:

Jared: It would probably be a good idea to route the exhaust out so they can hook up hoses to get the fumes out of the building.

Marty: Trust me, your truck can't be as much of a turd as my Bronco. It just barely has enough power to get out of its own way. As I say, 0 to 60 in 15 minutes!

Tom: Yes, they do diesels. They burn custom chips/programs and I think they can custom burn/tune PCMs too. They recently dyno'd a GMC 3500 Diesel that threw down over 1100 ft/lbs, so I think their dyno should handle anything your 'stroker can put out... they're in the business of making power! They also built the World's Fastest Motorhome!

If you PM me with more info regarding your rigs (Year, Make/Model) and anything else you'd like me to ask (on the spot tuning, etc.), I'll make sure to find out for you.

I won't hide from anything. '02 Ford, F-250. Diesel powa. Gots chip in it already. They will prolly tell me I need a new Hpop, injectors and a FASS system. The best of all, a turbo too. I'm willing to bet, the truck will put down 325hp/650ft.lb tq. I might lose a little when the new lift gets on too, just a little.

Is anyone else in? Mike, why don't you put your six-shooter on the rollers, too? Lets see what the difference is between a 300 w/ a 1bbl vs. a 300 EFI... vs. Jared's built 300. Perhaps the older dog can show the puppy a few tricks? (Don't worry, Jared... I'm not calling you an old fart, you're still young - I'm just a kid!) BTW, do you still have that 300 that was on CL w/ the DUI and intake/header, or is it long gone?

If I had that 1100+ as torque, I wouldn't have a motor. My PMRs would have blown to pieces by now. Give me sometime, I will pull my motor and drop some forged rods and some real injectors in there. Then we will be talking 1100+ and at least a min. of 500hp.

The built 300 is way long gone- my gallery on it is a sort of "in memoriam" type thing. The 69 F250 had a 300 in it, but that's sitting wrapped in a tarp between the house and garage right now.
I have a mildly built 360 in my 72/pseudo-69 F250, but I'm currently sixless.
If I can find the right setup, I'm going to put a 200 inline six and four speed manual in the Courier. That little 2.3 is not doing the job at all-

Buy Lisa a bus ticket to get to Sea-Tac each day, use her car for trans, and put some real metal inside that motor.

p.s. Please don't tell her I said that!
