Spotted black excursion dead on the 5.

I spotted a dead excursion on the 5 today around 3pm today, stuck in the middle lanes. At least I think it was an excursion but maybe an F250 with a camper. Kind of sad to see it sitting there blocking traffic, I would have stopped to help had I been in my truck or I was driving. Just curious if it was anyone here and maybe what happened. Oh it was around Garfield exit near the 710 heading south.

That's a good thing cause you would of been holding up traffic for a few miles. It's got to suck to be stuck in the middle of the freeway. I always wonder how you get stuck dead center of the freeway.

Knock on wood, that's never happened to me. Like you though, I wonder how someone can get stuck smack dab in the middle of traffic like that - I mean, get the thing out of the road, you know?

Spotted another one this evening, a white F250 with a camper. It was on the transition from the 605s to the 91e. Looks like they were towing a small trailer. They had the truck loading onto a tow truck with the trailer unloaded and it looked like they had a friend ready to pick up the trailer in a chevy. Sucks to see all these trucks breaking down this weekend. I made a trip to pick up a friend that broke down at a track day event at Button Willow Raceway last weekend. Would have hated to have been me.

The gas part is right, I fill up my F250 with about $150. But the weight is way off, they have to weight somewhere around 8000lbs.

Yep, yep..and think they burn cleaner, get pretty ok mileage for their size....

Hey, isn't it true that Ford's V10 was like the cleanest burning internal combustion engine going for a while?

The price has gone down and these beauties and I'm starting to salivate.
