not fired, just "operational suspended" and thats only becuase I'm a line officer, all of the officers were suspended or demoted depending on there involvement, because I am not in the video, or was not a member at the time of the filming I am only suspended 30 days, as per the county fire chief
What I can not believe is ..That tape was like 4 yearsago..My opinion big deal
Pretty **** poor when someone has to bring it up and make it sour soup for the dept.
Even though I live miles and miles away from Kentland. It burns me up when I watch the other Kentland video's and see how tight net the dept is and the hard work they put into saving lives and property's ...
The news cector really need to focus on that instead of ruining a good dept.
man some bad press-i agree with sglaine no reason why a good dept.should go down for some horse play! hey we all have our moments they seem like a tight nit group of guys -and that is what ya need in situations like they have to deal with-having faith and trust in your friends to bail you out of life threatening situations!hey they volunteer to lay their lives on the line to help others!!

I just wish the news would cover good things instead of making Ant Hills into Mountains..
When I started out in my fire Dept back years ago..
We had a better responce time compared to the guys on the Dept now.
I also believe that our dept back then was more effective then the today..
Reason why I say that is because now a days the new guys on our dept go by the book and read the damn thing before they roll a piece because they do not want to use common sense.
I am glad from what I have seen of Kentlands other videos and the way I saw how they were working..I would love to have those Boy's in a heart beat come to my aid if I needed them.
You never really see on the news where the volunteers SAVE a life, and if you do it's like a 10 second blip.
BUT you always hear when the volunteers do something wrong on their OWN time! Maybe the news stations will put up about $500,000 a year for salaries at Kentland for an all paid staff. Then and only then would they have a right to report the biased b/s that the 4 year old tape portrays.
