U-Haul 5th wheel hitch

Anybody ever use a U-Haul 5th wheel hitch ? Would you ever ? Does U-Haul just slaps their own lable on them in which case it COULD be a quality hitch ?

Never even knew that U-Haul had 5th wheel hitches. All I've ever seen are their trailer hitches and those seem to be a quality product. Unless the hitch you're looking at is super cheap, I'd look at Camping World and other local shops that carry hitches. You didn't specify what attracted you to the U-Haul hitch, maybe that would help us give you a more informed answer.

Thanks for the reply. This is a 5th wheel hitch that came with a truck that I bought ( 1999 f-350 ) The hitch looks solid enough, but like you, I was un aware that U-Haul made 5th wheel hitches. I dont know to much about them ( hitches ) so thought i'd ask if anybody had used one before. Nothing stood out to me with a visual inspection and the few moving parts appear to be in working order. I thought I might get a resounding yes/no on the quality if I posted the question.

My friend works for U-haul and he says they carry a couple different 5th wheel hitches, goose necks too. They must be decent since I asked about getting one and he didn't tell me I'd be safer elsewhere.

U Haul puts a sticker on the hitch. theres various Hi Quality Manufacturers they get them from. I am a U Haul center GM, only U Haul offers a life time warranty on our hitches

I know the U-haul here uses Reese hitches for the frame mounted pull behind stuff, not sure about 5th wheel or gooseneck hitches though.

Not sure about the 5th wheels, but my frame receiver from u-haul is a draw-tite. They just put a u-haul sticker over the draw-tite sticker.
