i got a 2008 f450 kr stock with 4:30 rears.my drinkin buddy has a 2006 dmax dually.hes runnin an intake and exhaust.he kept on talkin smack so i said we should race sometime.
so anyway he left.the next day i was haulin my emty 32ft goosneck to go get my new jd tractor.then i see him with his 30ft gooseneck.i flag him down and say lets race.so led him to this old road which was only about an eighth of a mile long maybe a little longer.so anyway
1st race:i had him off the line and at about 40mph i pulled ahead of him about half a truck lenth and when the race ended i pulled a whole truck length.
2nd race:{we went a little further down the road this time}i had him off the line again but by about 50mph he had pulled even with me but we didnt have enough road to keep going.so we had a pretty good tie.
so it was a pretty fun towing race.i realized this weekend though i need to get a spartan tuner pretty soon.next weekend were gonna race without a load.
I'd say you kicked his butt! With a bigger truck and bigger trailer, that's pretty impressive that you were able to out pull him. I'm guessing you probably had close to 5k lbs more than him. ?
That's the way they out to do diesel drags, hook a trailer to them and make them really work!

Hey what's this doing in the competition forum???????
F450 vs. ANY Dirtymax that's not a competition It's a way to let the Chebby boys know where they belong (looking at the tailgate of a Ford pulling away).
Nice work!!!

not trying to start a fight just want to see you back up what you said ford can do.
hey guys i was talking bout trucks over the weekend, some gm mechanic claims the durajunk and allison tranny tow up to 39,000 and have been doing it for years under warrenty, correct me if im wrong but ford has the highest capability for any size truck, oh are the new gms still built on car frames ?
