car engine into truck, cam change question

My son and I are mid way through an engine swap. His 4.6L engine bagged the bottom end. We are transplanting a used "car engine". Now I have read the 4.6 triton in the trucks has a different cam set up with a grind to produce more torque. More torque is desireable. Therefore would it be a simple swap while the engines are both on stands to pull the truck cams and slip them in to the car heads? Should the cams be taken to a engine rebuilder and serviced? Or would the differnece be noticed? Meaning is it worthe the hassle or just leave them alone. Would he be gaining a whole gob of power with truck cams?

Rebuilding the Ford 4.6L SOHC Engine, Doug Anderson, Engine Builder, April 2002

There is a cam chart about 3/4 of the way down that may help depending on what year engines you are working with.

Cams are identical,as long as the cylinder heads are the same. PI to PI, NPI to NPI.
