I got bored and had an extra speedometer laying around, so I decided to white it out. I used appliance epoxy to paint it white and then just used some permanent markers for the numbers and the needle. I think it turned out pretty good. Now I'll do the whole cluster.

I will try and do the whole cluster on saturday. I went to the J-yard today and got another tach and circuit paper since mine is acting weird and I also got some new woodgrain trim panels.

Nice work! I did find a site that makes them for almost any year F-series: It gives you a good pic of all the guages in white and then at night w/ green LED bulbs. Welcome to whitegauges.net
Another place even makes the white face HVAC panel in white:

How did you get the needle off with out dammage? Will this improve the poor lighting at night these clusters are known for?
I didn't remove the needle, I just painted it white with the rest of the gauge and then went over the needle with the orange.
One thing you can do to improve the dash lighting is remove the blue plastic covers over the bulbs. If you still want the green color, you can get the bulbs in green or blue at most parts stores. It will still be brighter with without those color caps. I removed the covers on my truck and my Capri, big improvement.

Here's my progress so far. I got everything taken apart and got the guages cleaned and painted with the rustoleum appliance epoxy. I figure it's a durable surface and it's easy to clean next time I need to dust my gauges.
I also decided to paint the inside of the case and the warning lights/indicators silver to hopefully make it a little brighter at night.
I need to let the epoxy cure for 24 hours so I will try and finish up before I go to work tomorrow, but it just depends on when I get up.

Thanks Darren. Funny thing is I went to the J-yard looking for capri parts and came home with a bunch of truck parts and nothing for the capri. I was like a kid in a candy store.
I got the gauges all finished up and mounted back in the case. I need to repaint the silver edges on my new trim panel and then I can throw everything back in the truck.
