A 2000 mi trip report

We have just completed a 2,000 mile trip pulling our boat. We went from Denver, CO to Branson, MO and Table Rock Lake. The first leg we stayed the night in a hotel, but coming back we drove straight through...

We spent 16 hours in that Expedition towing the boat, in the Kansas wind of 30 to 40 mph, and 102 degrees. My boat is around 5,000 lbs or so.....

With a side wind I got pushed down to 60 - 65 mph, and watched the fuel gage show 11 mpg...... When the wind was gone I would get around 13 mpg at around 65 mph....

I love this truck! Even after 16 straight hours of fighting the wind with a boat in tow, I was very comfortable, the seats are fantastic!

The Xped, has plenty of power, I really noticed it 900 ft instead of the 5280 ft we are at...
