We spent 16 hours in that Expedition towing the boat, in the Kansas wind of 30 to 40 mph, and 102 degrees. My boat is around 5,000 lbs or so.....
With a side wind I got pushed down to 60 - 65 mph, and watched the fuel gage show 11 mpg...... When the wind was gone I would get around 13 mpg at around 65 mph....
I love this truck! Even after 16 straight hours of fighting the wind with a boat in tow, I was very comfortable, the seats are fantastic!
