Headlight switch and Wiper control question

This is a two parter.

A couple of things that have been messed up on my truck for a long time and up to this point, I just let them go...am I the only one?

First, the headlight switch has a bad potentiometer. The headlights work, but sometimes the dash lights go out. If I rotate the headlight switch left and right a few times, the dash lights turn back on. I can't control the brightness, just on or off...until I hit a bump, then they may go off again.

How does that switch come out? Do I just pry off the front where the switch is mounted?

The second is the wiper control. When I turn on the wipers (intermittent, anywhere between lowest and highest setting) I hear chattering from under the glove box and I get a swipe, but they won't swipe again unless I move the switch forward or backward a click. They work on regular and high. You see, I think somebody spilled a soft drink on the turn signal stalk. I sprayed stuff in there sort of, but the poor connection won't go away.

How do I replace the wiper control assembly? Does it unscrew from the turn signal stalk or what?

Thanks for any and all help!!!!!
