Post Moving To Florida? Check Out These Helpful Links

So I've noticed that a couple of our FTE brethren and uh . . sisteren(actual word?) are moving to Florida and I thought they and others consider the move could use some help from websites that either study which places in Florida are the best for jobs or retirement living etc or that address other specific concerns they might have.

If you know of any websites that offer this or other kinds of help such as weather, census type of info, agricultural, wildlife, commercial or other type of info someone making a move either for work or play or rest might need then PLEASE post it here!

You can even list your own advice if you'd like. Anything you'd like to share that you might think is helpful can go here. Please, if you are going to share a link to where all the nudee bars are at don't include pictures since there might be kiddies roaming around behind someone's shoulder that don't need to see a 11x13 sized shot of this month's feature dancer at "The Pink Pony"

Money.com "Best Places to Live - Florida"
MONEY Magazine: Best places to live 2007: Florida

This one has a plethora of information. Really, it might be the only link you need. It has everything from financial, educational, real estate information and more. It even has reader reviews which can really be a great tool for what things are like other than on paper.

"Moving to Florida"
State of Florida.com - Moving to Florida - Florida Relocation

This page is an unofficial resource page put out by the American Safety Council for Residents and Visitors according the site. I wanted to give you something a bit more official but this page blows the "myflorida" page out of the water. It gives you info on everything from getting a driver's license to starting a business and all the lovely tax info and more. You can browse through that page and you will see there is a wealth of helpful info.
You can also go to the American Safety Council page at American Safety Council which has a lot of helpful information as well. Great page for business owners that want to move to Florida.

I guess you could always try the states official page at MyFlorida.com - Taxonomy - Moving to Florida

anyway, those are mine . . . feel free to add your own if you can think of any!!

If you need any help in getting down here or with any info locally like "how is this restaurant, or where's the best place to get a beer and watch the game while I come down to visit etc etc then feel free to start up a new post and the friendly folks in Florida will be happy to help you out!

Good luck with your move!

Wow, on Florida's top 100 neither Ocala or Silver Springs is listed. They sure have that right. This area is rather behind the times as far as the pay scale and keeps in line with Orlando with the cost of living.

Great post Felix.

dude, i realized last night/this morning . . . I am SO not 21 anymore lol
I'm not trying to say I'm "OLD" cause I'm only 28 but damn, I'm feelin the kind of difference that being closer to the 3rd decade makes as opposed to just getting out of your teens lol

there were all these young (mid to early 20's) kids there at the club and they were goin and goin and by 2am I'm dying!! lol
