Front Air Dams..2 Types???

I have seen a few posts where it mentions 2 types of front air dams, a longer and shorter one based on job# build. Can anyone clarify this as to how I can determine which one I have? I have an 06 Lariat CC 6.0PSD 4wd.
I would probably look to put the longer one on if I dont already have it. seems it may help a bit as far as mileage. Thanks for the help.

The mileage on the 2008 6.4L Job 1 builds was so bad, they put a bigger air dam on them for Job 2 and it got the MPGs up to some degree.

Again, only for the 2008's.

Thanks for the info. Too bad there are no aftermarket companies that have made one that wasnt too over the top.(No fast n furious thank you). Seems like it would be a good addition.

I could just see my Superduty 4X4 diesel slammed to the ground with airbags and ground effects so it would ride 1 inch off the ground. Maybe I wouldn't need a snow plow! Reality check. If you added a front air dam would it make a worthwhile difference at highway speed? 2MPG would be great but I think you'd be lucky to see 1/2 mpg. It would take a long time to pay for the air dam.
