I like the comment about the saws all and the welder, lmao. Throw in a 390 and you can test those frame welds pretty quick.

That's what I call committment to the shortbox body...if you can't find the frame cut the one you got and get the bed to fit...very well done..
I once saw a F250 short bed and wondered if it had been an F100 with F250 steering knuckles and a Dana/Spicer differential....now I see there is more n' one way to skin or cut up a cat.

Best,

TH1567
Having wrecked and rolled a truck or two, one might say I've done it all but I know I certainly haven't done nor seen it all..there's somethings I just don't want to know or see.

oh its a big block truck 352 though not 390..saving my 390 for my 28 roadster.that should be interesting....and drive like a juvenile every day..ive build a few frames for a 50 merc and for a model t i had a few years ago..and a ton of cutting on my shovel chop..so i got a lil confidence in my welds.and still just 1400 bucks in her and a lil work.and hasnt been broke down yet in two months..shes a great truck.

Wow looks like its coming along, just wondering if you know where you can buy the reflectors that are right above the headlights. I'm missing those, and my beater just wont look right with out em

Great job, like the bed modification. Along with a 65 stepside I also have the 65 lwb styleside and looking to shorten the bed; although, temporarily stalled out while trying to decide whether or not I want to put the 65 body on a later model 4X4 frame. Intend bookmarking this thread, If decide to shorten the bed may have to PM if I run into problems. Again, looks good!.

I'm partial to the long bed as you can tell by gallery. When a long bed sit's right, it looks good.
However what you have done to the long bed looks good, you've done a great job. View my gallery for cragers on a long bed. Old school style...
