Question Does my 2000 PSD 4wd need front end maint??

I have a 2000 PSD 4WD 6spd manual and manual hubs. I used to have to tear down the front end and pack the front end bearings and hubs on older versions of Ford trucks. I pulled my Hubs today for the first time @147,000miles and cant find any access to th efront end bearings. Do they require maintenance and grease?
Thank you

I dont know how to get to them, but I wouldnt think it would hurt anything. It can only help prolong the life of the front end IMO.

Edit: supporter with only 27 posts, good man

You cannot see the needle bearings on the back side of the hubs? The needle bearings are inside of the front hubs, rear (inward) side. Yes, they can be serviced, even though Ford will tell you that they cannot.

Here's a good page that I used when I did mine. Part numbers and everything are here:

Welcome to guzzle's 4x4 Needle Bearing Maintenance Web Page
