I don't worry about all that print and lip motion, like Mark said, wannabee. I been running this ULSD crap for a year with additives every once and a while, no problems.

Heres an attempt of getting this thread back on track: That D-maxipad guy is obviously an idiot... not only for his spelling and grammer not only for the idea that only daracraps are going to run on ULSD but for the more simple things like he's drives a duramax! The guy is an obvious idiot and those are way worse then the regular ones...

"C" also stands for CAT...

On the ULSD thing, I've been running DK or 2-cycle. While I've been gone, I just bought a few small bottles of 2-cycle for her to use since it's easier to pour in the tank...

Yep. You best sell me that POS of yours right now. Come 2010, it isn't going to be worth more than scrap metal. I will give you $1000 for it. All right. Since you are an FTE member, $2000.

I dont know how much of that is true and I guess only time will tell, but ULSD has been out for a while now and I dont know of anything going wrong from it other than loss of some power and MPG's.
Sulfur is not the issue. The problem is that the process that extracts the sulfur reduces the aromatic compounds that give it lubricity. So yes, raw ULSD will have less lubricating properties than LSD. By law, they have to add lubricity agents to bring it up to the levels that won't harm engines. So you are fine. The only problem is that LSD has filled the O-rings with sulfur and the ULSD leaches it out so the O-ring might shrink and you have to replace those.

Time has told. That or you will see diesel trucks lined up for repair all day long. Just drive it and be happy is what I do. I don't bother with the snake oil additives since none of them have ever been proven to do much

Ok now I got it then, I wasnt sure but thats what I was told. Thanks for the clarification. Ive gained at least 1-2 MPG from using additives.

I haven't yet which is why I labeled them as "snake oil" in my experience.
