Rear side window molding

OK...got an 84 F250 XLT Supercab. It has those sort of split windows for the rear side windows.

How does one get that molding off of those windows?

I want to break nothing as they are a bit spendy.

Do you mean sliding rear windows or is it something for the side windows?

I think you'll find the moldings either attach the window (in the case of hard plastic) or covers a gap and bolts (as the soft rubber). I had some issue with my 89's back window and I was able to chip out the chrome, leaving it all black. If your chrome is in good shape, you can just paint over it.

See this LMC page.

Victoria British - Catalog FD - Page 13

It is the upper left box...that divided light plastic cover.

Thanks,

Tim

It looks like it's a part of the glass. Before you do much to remove it, see if you can buy it separately. If so, your going to have to remove it, it should be bolted and caulked down.

It is not easily removable. I have poked and prodded to no avail...but I did power wash a bunch of pine needles and dirt out of it...just wanted to get all the dirt out.

1980/91 Super Cab R/L body side quarter window moulding.

The exterior mouldings on the R/L quarter windows of Super Cabs clip on, therefore they are not part of the glass.

The following mouldings are one complete unit. There is no separate "division" moulding.

E0TZ1329796A .. R/Body Side Quarter Window Moulding

MSRP: $86.37 / FTEpartsguy.com price: $64.78
----------------------------------------------
E0TZ1329797A .. L/Body Side Quarter Window Moulding

MSRP: $87.56 / FTE partsguy.com price: $65.67

Fits: 1980/91 F150/350 Super Cab. (FTEpartsguys webpage sez 1987/91, but 1980/91 is correct).

The new mouldings come with the attaching parts.

Part number sources: 1980/89 & 1990/2002 Ford Light Truck Parts Catalogs.

Thanks ND...I wonder how tight are those clips? Where are the clips?

That way I know how to pull the moldings off without breaking anything.

Thx
