Transmission gauge for F250 super duty 99 ford Power S 4x4

Do any of you know if the standard automatic transmission has a port, or plugged hole so that a transmission gauge can be installed. If not I presume I'd need a shop to tap a new hole and do the install. If it has a plugged port/hole for the sensor perhaps I can do the job myself. I'd prefer not to drain fluid. I'm sure some of you have installed these gauges; your help is always appreciated. Thanks, CJ
