I would think you could cut the driver side tube down and get a longer tube for the pass side, but you'd still need the actual axles out of the 78/79 and then you'd have to do a custom spring perch for the leaf. This last part shouldn't be too hard, but with all that work & still needing the axles out of a 78/79 or custom is the price going to be worth it?

 

Reopening this to see if anyhone has come up with a good solution, My truck is already lifted so its really fair game at this point
