Does anybody have a solid dana 44 up in the north country. i am looking to do a sas on my 85 f150. i live in new hampshire

Ya i know i need this axle because i have 38's going on my truck i'm having trouble finding one complete for under 500 bucks

A D44 for under $500?

Around here there going for $100-200. I only paid $100 for mine.

also i found a high pinion dana 44 from a 79 f150 is it any good and will it fit?

You might search around a little more unless you need it now. I don't know about New Hampshire, but around here in Indiana, dana44s are a dime a dozen. I wouldnt pay over $100 for one. A dana60 i might pay 600 for though.

uncle.stosh is gaining momentum as a positive member of FTE.
A solid axle D44 is no stronger than a TTB D44.

The axles are the limiting factor.

35+ tires need a D60 for any kind of reliability.
