I agree with PSDendurance, I have mine in the aluminum filter cap and it works great. No issues. When you change the oil filter all you do is unplug the wire connector and use a cresent wrench to take off the filter cap. Not a big deal at all.

Jonathan, is that an electrical type probe and the second wire is a ground? How cold does your temps get where you are? You haven't noticed reduced temps on your oil temp gauge when it's really cold out? Like at or near freezing?

Looks good!

Yes it is an electrical probe. The wires are about 3 inches long between the probe and connector. The connector is one of those that is very easy to remove. Actually the oil temp stays about the same as the coolant temp. It doesn't get real cold here in Las Vegas, maybe around 30 degrees. Even in the winter when the coolant temp was at 190 degrees the oil temp was the same. I took my trailer out this past spring and ran up the freeway here with an incline and the oil temp went up to about 225 while the coolant temp was at 210. Overall I think you will be very happy with the results, from what I've seen its very accurate. With the probe inside the filter cap it will not be exposed to the cold air like your current setup is. Plus, I have never had a problem with the spring on the inside.

So, I would ask how I would measure the oil pressure AND the temp. I have the oil pressure sensor installed now.
I may ask ELITE ENG, if they could drill and tap the cap just off to the side of the cap hex to install the pressure sensor - no probe inside then install the temp sensor in the top port.
Or I guess I could do this my self.
After reading all this - I think it will be a good idea to add the oil temp gauge. Maybe pressure is not all that important?
I have Trans Temp gauge set up - I used in my 2000 AT, should work fine for this app. Dont really need it for the stick shift

I was not able to find a plugged oil port in the block. I am sure there has to be one. I will have to look more. Maybe one of the techs can help here.
