That would be in the same time frame. I almost ordered it with my headers, which was in 99.

On my 94 the air filter is the same for the 4.9, 5.0, and 5.8 engines. If the OEM filter will feed a 5.8 it should be fine for the 4.9 with a stock head. I have considered replacing the twin intake tubes with a single with y adapters at both ends.

I was beginning to think maybe I was mistaken but I double checked, sure enough, paid $23 for it.

If Id had known people were willing to pay 50, I woulda bought all their stock and opened an ebay account for 45

Don't blame going from $23 to $43 on inflation. This is just a re-pricing by management, to make mo' money, which is their prerogative, they just won't be seeing any of my dollars.

I just sold my 5.0 f150 and it had a K&N in it. Luckily for me they are the same filter as the 300 6cyl. I put my K&N in just to see if there was an improvement. First tank I got 13mpg. Mostly city driving. I am going to see how it does then I'll probably change the O2 sensor. I'm sure mine needs replaced and have heard it can help gas mileage greatly. Will post updates as I get them.

When I changed from the Fram to my K&N I noticed improved throttle response but that was it.

i doubt it will give any power especially with metal pipes the best air set up is the factory box insulated more with a k&n drop in plastic does not conduct heat like metal so it will be cooler and it will help fuel economy not really horses. which is still worth it in my oppinion
