Has anyone removed their EGR tube????

On the 3.0, the bolt on the lower end of the tube is rusted pretty good. I'm scared the head will just turn off the bolt. Has anyone taken this off before? Any tips on getting it out without breaking the bolt?

Ok, nevermind, I got it. I decided to take a chance on breaking it and it came loose instead. Whew! If it would have broke, I would have had to pull the manifold to fix it.

I used a pipe cleaner, brake cleaner, and compressed air to clean the tube as best I can. When I blew through it with my mouth, it kinda felt like I blew a clog out.... Can't be sure though. The pipe cleaner made it easy to clean the little venturi thing in the tube.

Then I removed the EGR valve and used a syringe and some scrap tube to pull the valve open. It seems to be working properly. Can't blow thru it until the syringe opens the valve. I guess that's good. Put black rtv on it and anti-seize on the bolts and reinstalled it. Used anti-seize on everything.

Sound good?
